These latest 256GB SSDs enhance the performance rates of the Samsung 64GB and 128GB SSDs by almost more than double, by boosting up the READ and WRITE rates, to become the SSD with the highest overall performance in the personal computer industry!

It combines sequential lightening fast read rates of 220MBPS with sequential write rates of 200MBPS, and its erase cycles are also very quick at about 100GBs per minute, delivering all round high-performance.

It also offers a high degree of energy efficiency, with power consumption of 1.1 watts while delivering outstanding reliability and durability.

The 256GB SSD also has very high operating speeds, translating longer periods in either stand-by or idle mode, and the result is 40 minutes of extended operation on a single battery charge!

It weight about 81 grams just like the 128GB SSDs and retains the standard 9.5 mm drive thickness.

It also comes with an optional proprietary encryption programming that provides total disk encryption, which is a key feature for many corporate users!

In one of the hottest deals in the recent time, Best Buy Co. will shell out around 121 million bucks in cash for online music retailer Napster Inc. as per the official announcement…

As far as the returns are concerned, in lieu of the money paid, Best Buy gets a database of 700,000 subscribers to Napster’s digital entertainment services and its Web platform for streaming music.

Best Buy would be incorporating that system for selling other content apart from music.

Napster revamped its music download service in May, offering 6 million music tracks in MP3 format for sale without DRM

Best Buy has owned part of Napster since December 2004, when it paid $10 million for a stake in the company in a joint marketing agreement.

The board of directors of Napster have agreed to the mega deal, which is expected to be fully official any moment.

After taking the Napster’s cash reserves into considerations, the overall deal will cost Best Buy around $54 million!!

As per the wording of the official sources, Best Buy said it does not intend to make significant staffing changes. Under the terms of the deal, Napster CEO Chris Gorog and other managers will still hold onto the company!!

As a fresher of course most of the younger guys and girls are preparing for a career in IT, there are many of the “dirty little secrets” that you must know which would most likely surprise you because people don’t usually talk about them out loud… So doesn’t matter if you are a fresher or an experienced professional in a different field, here are certain things you must know about IT before jumping into it…!!

Although these are not aimed at developers and programmers as they have their own set of additional dirty little secrets, however many of these will comply with them as well.

Let’s see them one by one:

• IT pros frequently use jargons to confuse non-technical business managers and hide the fact that they actually screwed things up!

• The pay in IT is good compared to many other professions, but since they pay you well, they often think they own you!

• It will be your fault when users make silly errors!

• You will go from goat to hero and back again multiple times within any given day!

• Your non-technical co-workers will use you as personal tech support for their home PCs!

• Certifications won’t always help you become a better technologist, but they can help you land a better job or a pay raise!

• Vendors and consultants will take all the credit when things work well and will blame you when things go wrong!

• Veteran IT professionals are often the biggest roadblock to implementing new technologies!

• Some IT professionals deploy technologies that do more to consolidate their own power than to help the business!

• You’ll spend far more time babysitting old technologies than implementing new ones!

These opinions are personal and are not meant to tease some one or hurt their feelings and are rather the personal experiences ‘coz as a matter of fact I am an IT professional myself…!!
