Whooping 45Mbps on air!
Bugged with those slow internet connectivity while on air? Well then now you can expect a better quality for sure. The Wi-SKY has presented the latest technology during the Immarsat Aeronautical Conference.
This promises faster download rates of about 45 Mbps, which is loads higher than the present one offered by many leading industry giants.
What’s more, as per the sources, it has demonstrated seamless streaming for video conferencing through skype application.
How this technology really works is quite simple. A series of radio towers are required each of which, broadcast to a distance of about 54 miles.
This is very much like the current cellular connectivity technology. Wi-SKY has not thrown light on any of the airlines with whom, it has the plans of partnering.
Nobody knows when is Wi-SKY planning to launch the service.
So all techies, in due for an abroad trip have to wait a little long to get hold of this technology on board.
