It has hardly been just a couple of weeks since the launch of Chrome, the featured web browser unleashed by Google Inc.. Chrome has been the buzzword all over the place and has already taken away market share from every competitor except Apple Inc.’s Safari…

At the end of its second week, Chrome accounted for 0.85% of the browsers that visited the 40,000 sites monitored by Net Applications Inc., an increase from the 0.67% the week before.
Chrome’s share came at the cost of Microsoft’s ever-famous Internet Explorer (IE), Opera Software ASA’s Opera, Mozilla Corp.’s Firefox, and even AOL LLC’s Netscape, all of which have suffered from browser share drop in the past two weeks.
In fact surprisingly Safari is the lonely contender that has escaped Chrome’s impact… As a matter of fact, Apple’s browser, has rather gained nearly 0.7 percentage points during the past 14 days!!
So apparently the market share hit from Chrome has now affected every major browser except Safari!
Suprisingly number of Website viewers using Chrome had peaked just two days after its launch, and since then had dropped before stabilizing for about 5% to 6%…
Undoubtedly Chrome is surely gonna give a hard time to all its competitors in the market, so Microsoft better watch out before its too late!!
