Japanese Oberon for Great Looks; but No Purpose
We have all wanted to possess something unique, something out of the world, to be able attract others, right? I have been there and surely lots of you as well. Tokyo Flash has a product that magnifies the imagination of those who follow stars and dream of it. It has introduced Oberon, a watch that shows time, nothing more, but the look, feel and more importantly the time display has swept me under the carpet.
Oberon has a unique black steel casing with a touch of trendy design. But, that’s not the talking point. The normal digits on a digital watch or the hands on an analog watch are replaced by LED lights. The process of reading the time is complex and time consuming: The outer ring of LED’s indicate the hour, the second ring indicates single minutes and the third, inner ring, indicates the minutes in groups of tens. It’s easy to follow as the position of the lights is the same as 1-12 on a regular clock dial.
So, in the watch displayed above, I think the time is 11:36. I hope its right.
I would certainly rate this watch quite high for its modern endeavor but not recommend it to those who like to read time. There is no point in taking a couple minutes to read time. By the time you finish reading the time, the time would have already changed; so you may never catch the real time. Remember, we moved to digital to analog just to save those 10 precious seconds.
