New Web Browser That Ensures Privacy

Posted on 01 September 2006

There is a new browser trying to compete with the already ongoing war of the browsers. Browzar is the latest browser in the fray. This browser is not comparing itself with other browsers in terms of extensibility or security. This browsar leaves no trails. There is no history in this browser, no cookies and no cache. Hence, the websites you visited isn’t recorded elsewhere.

Other browsers like firefox and IE record all the history, store the cookies and auto-complete forms. Well, they do provide options to turn off these functions but users usually forget to delete cache and cookies everytime they browse. Interesting, this website also has testimonies of people who share about the ill-effects of browsing history being stored.

“I must have been about 14 and was using my Mum’s work computer. For some reason I decided to check what was in her web history. It was mostly benign stuff until the middle where she had: divorce.com, divorce.net, Ask Jeeves, advice about divorce. Yes, I found out that my parents were going to get divorced before my Dad did.”

“I used to think that the only single girl in the office was hot until auto-complete told me that her most frequent search was ‘stretch marks’.”

After my brother had been using the computer one day I went on it. Imagine my horror when I see ‘Hunks’ and ‘men’ in the auto-complete box.

Browsar launched yesterday and is free for downloading. There is no installation nor there is any registration. Download it and try it out. It comes into two themes, black and silver.

There are too many browsers claiming they are the best with more functions or better security.

I think I will stick with my firefox unless it gets really outdated.
