Top Ten Dorky Computer Gadgets
Here are the top ten gadgets that caught my eye. It is not in any particular order, but there is poll though if you would be interested in voting…
1. Slingbox

2. Stealth Switch
From thinkgeek’s website – “Feet have been a major factor in the course of human history. If it wasn’t for feet, so many great heroes of the past would have had to sit down or risk tipping over. The sound of feet is how you know when someone is approaching your cubicle and it is time to hurry and close the game running on your computer. Too many close calls can lead to unnecessary office stress.

3. Custom Made PC Case (Sculpture)
It is a PC case created by Katsuya Matsumura. This case is one in a series of original sculptures of his, and you can see the step by step explanation of how he creates them on Kats Land. Custom made cases cost between $1000 and $3000. You can see the making of such cases on this website.
4. The darumouse
From we make money not art – “Darumouse = Daruma + Mouse. Daruma being a round Japanese wish doll with no arms and legs, modelled after Bodhidharma and often used as a good-luck charm.
The larger darumouse has 6 buttons (left, right clicks; scroll up, down; forward, backward) and the smaller one has 4 (left, right clicks; scroll up, down). Darumouse can be operated in the air.
Users can also control the cursor by just tilting their darmouse.
The product is already available for purchase in Japan. But what’s interesting is that the manufacturer claims they can turn anything into a mouse providing that the physical shape/size allows it. They are even planning to sell made-to-order mouses: customer would send their favorite physical object to them and they would turn it into a mouse. The company would sell only the internal electronic components.”
